What if technology fails?
Following an earlier intel I entitled: Electro-magnetic bombs This intel has been published to discuss and deliver a 'what-if' senerio in the possible event of an EMP attack, which could potentially render all modern electronics totally useless. So imagine this: You're on your way to work and your car is in the middle of the usual daily traffic jam, suddenly without warning, all electronic devices around you completely stop working, your car and CD/radio, your cell phone, Satnav, digital watch, everything! You along with most of the city you're in had just been hit by a massive EMP (Electro-magnetic pulse) attack. The overall damage would depend on the yeald of the EMP device. and how close you were to it's epicentre. So how would you and for that matter your business cope without Internet access? Could your business survive if there was a city wide technology outage lasting for months due to a EMP attack? The more that a business becomes digital dependant, the less likely it is that a backup plan will be effective. Say you spend a good portion of you work day on the Internet. and a heavy a snow storm hits leaving 500,000 homes and business properties without power, would your business have an effective backup plan?, it's always good to have a plan just in case technology fails. But what about in the event of a city wide EMP attack? The 'What-If' senerios are the bread and butter of many a modern thriller film. Die hard 4.0 (Bruce Willis) for an example touches the surface with a 'Fire-sale' which uses computers to initiate a three stage systematic attack of traffic systems, communications and national defence systems.

Contributor's Note
This is a truely frightening thought, I cannot begin to imagine my life without the internet! or for that matter, all the other electronics I have come to love around me!
