Trading standards v McDonalds Ltd

By Anthony Ashard

Have you ever really felt like going to McDonald's and getting one great big juicy Big Mac, only to find that once you've sat down and got your coat off and opened that well designed packaging, have you been presented with something that more resembles ROAD KILL!

I mean how hard is it to assemble a simple burger in a fashion that even just loosely compares to the advertised product!

It's not rocket science!

If it was anything else, for example electronics, a new DVD disc, well you see where I'm coming from, you would be screaming blue murder to the management to get another undamaged item.

So why do we repeatedly put up with the sloppy excuse for food that we are presented with at McDonald's?

Here's a tip: Always order fresh by demanding your burger be freshly cooked, and not from the (not so hot) hot plate. you have the right!

Contributor's Note

I have switched to Subway whenever I want a take-away, there's no where near as much lethal ingredients. If McDonald's really cared about us they would do something about all that crap they pump into their fast JUNK food.

Good intel, Anthony.
The whole fast food industry preys on the busy, lazy,
uneducated or obese population. Family meals, at home, can encourage solid, benificial time together. You don't need a bag with a toy to get children to eat.
Thanks for sharing.

I worked at a fast food restaurant when I was young, and believe me, appearances are the last thing you need to worry about. You do not want to know what your burger goes through in the back.

The appearances of the aforementioned monstrosities they have the cheek to call food by any long stretch is as you indicate only the tip of the iceberg, and if the general public were aware of the plainly disgusting activities that are carried out in the name of food preparation, McDonald's would go out of business overnight. This is why I go to Subway now where 95% of all that is produced there is done right in front of you.

I used work for McDonald Ltd as area security and safety inspector covering the south east UK. I've seen and stopped some crazy infringements during my employ there.
