The false power of anonymity
There are all too many people in this world who thrive on believing they have complete power of anonymity. These people, who spend many hours a day undermining genuine and concerted efforts to contribute valuable input, do their best to attempt to corrupt the moral fibre and the very integrity of society as a whole. They believe what they do and or say has no accountability, nor should they take any blame or responsibility for their selfish actions, even if those actions lead to them being branded as unworthy and un-professional members of any site or organisation. For example, EVERY comment left by a user that I determine is either un-professional or not following guidelines is reported to administration of the organisation/site, where the offenders membership is not anonymous, the comments can be traced to the member who is and should be made accountable. Genuine comments whether they be critical or complimentary are always welcomed, however there are a small number of users who just wish to leave nasty sarcastic and childish remarks that have little or commonly no helpful content. |
