Schematics are not perfect On those schematics that use neither a break nor a loop, you only have the presence of the dot to let you know that the wires should connect but no indication when they don’t connect. What happens if the person who drew the schematic simply forgot the dot? Sorry to say, you may find errors in schematic diagrams, just like anything else. If you build a circuit from such a schematic, and the circuit doesn’t work when you first power it up, you may suspect a missing wire connection somewhere. But unless you’re familiar with electronics, determining which connection is missing isn’t always easy. In these cases, consult with the person who drew the schematic if you can, just to be sure.
