DVT - Deadly Silent Assasin 2 (Pulmonary embolism)

By Anthony Ashard of http://www.ctek-solutions.co.uk

PART 2
This is an article that discusses my wife's current DVT threat, she has an advanced non-removable clot extending from her left knee deep into her pelvis.

Two surgical procedures later, my wife is no closer to any assurance of her mortality after her filter gets removed.

THIS FRIDAY! 18/08/09.

Quote:(From a comment I left on my previous intel)

"Sadly the countries leading DVT specialists have declared that my wife's case is one of the worst they have yet encountered, with regards to the overall size and position of the clot, in that they are now unable to treat or operate on it any more, she will definitely be on drugs and most likely in a wheel chair for some years to come (if not indefinitely), and be constantly worried about weather any of the clot will move from her leg to other more vulnerable parts of her body." (lungs-brain-heart)

A Pulmonary embolism (PE), (see below image) also referred to as a pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE), is a sudden blockage in a lung artery, usually due to a blood clot (thrombus) that travelled to the lung from the leg. A clot that forms in one part of the body and travels in the bloodstream to another part of the body is called an embolus.

Without the filter that is currently residing under my wife's heart, the possibility of an embolism occurring is greatly increased with each day the filter is not in place.

Unfortunately the filter cannot be left in place, the body naturally starts to both reject it and it eventually becomes blocked with minor clot fragment accumulation.

Any comments, suggestions or recommendations are gratefully received.
